What does Acupuncture do?

Acupuncture can help with numerous symptoms and ailments: from anxiety, sleep issues, dizziness, nausea, and gastrointestinal issues to fertility problems, headaches, sciatica, pain, and stress reduction. Acupuncture involves the use of a very small needle that is inserted into the skin to change your internal physiology. It is amazing!

How does acupuncture work?

Thin Needles

Acupuncture uses very small, solid point needles. They are only inserted as far as the skin layer. The insertion of the needle typically feels like a small prick and is not usually painful.

Effects

The changes made with acupuncture typically become more prevalent in the first 12-24 hours after the visit. Although they can be subtle at first, careful attention will reveal the emerging  results.

Frequency

By coming back periodically, the effects of acupuncture will become more pronounced and more long lasting. For some, regular visits are weekly. For others, it can be as long as 6 months.
